Updates:
Beginning on May 22nd, Saint George’s will be worshipping in our beautifully renovated Parish Hall. On May 22nd, we will be joined at our 10:30 service by San Jose for a joint service, since the work on the Chapel is behind due to the rainy weather.
While we're worshipping in the Parish Hall, please use the Bell Tower door and the 9th Street parking lot door (Door #3) as the main doors into the building. During construction there will be times the doors at the Narthex will be unavailable for use.
Labyrinth
The Vestry voted to include the labyrinth in the Nave floor. We are so thankful to St Georgians for their ongoing generosity!
As the renovation project progresses, certain parts of the church will be closed off and under the control of the General Contractor. We ask that all parishioners respect the signs and not enter any of the construction areas, even if there is no one is working there. These construction areas are dangerous and we do not want anyone to get hurt. During the course of the renovation, we will be posting pictures of the progress on the St. George's website. We ask for your patience and understanding through this time of transition!
Pledges
We have already collected nearly $1,035,000 of the $1.6 million pledged for the renovation. We have made great progress towards collecting the funds we need. In June, we will have to start making commitments for the bridge loan. Therefore, we ask that if you are able, we ask that you consider contributing as much as you can towards your pledge before June. Every dollar we collect before June, is a dollar we do not have to borrow with the bridge loan.
Pews
The pews have been removed from the Nave and were picked up by parishioners and donated to Great Plains Gathering, a mission church of Westminster Presbyterian Church, located in Billings, Montana. (http://greatplainsgathering.com)
