New to St. George's? We welcome you.

Welcome to St. George's Episcopal Church! We are a vibrant and inclusive community that dares to live the questions and places a premium on loving and serving others.

Welcome to St. George’s Church in Arlington, Virginia, an inclusive, caring and multigenerational congregation. St. George’s bridges urban and suburban: our church is surrounded by high-rise offices and condominiums, but neighborhoods of single-family houses are only two blocks away. We are located at the Virginia Square Metro station which connects us to the rest of the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. This richness makes us a congregation from all walks and stages of life, and we aspire to more fully reflect the diversity of our vibrant setting.

We welcome newcomers through our doors almost every week. Some are short-term visitors to the Washington area, some will be in our community for a few months or years for professional assignments, and others will be here for a lifetime. We constantly strive to minister to the changing community directly outside our doors and to find our place in this urban environment.

We not only welcome you, we accept you. No matter who you are or where you are in your faith journey, we welcome you to join us.

SUNDAY WORSHIP SCHEDULE
  • 8:00am: A traditional Rite I service with Holy Eucharist and a sermon, and music during the offertory, communion, and postlude, as well as a closing hymn.
  • 10:30am: A broad Episcopal Rite II service. Worshipers at this service are inspired every Sunday by the anthems sung by our St. George's Choir, the organ music of our music director, Ben Keseley, and the voices of the whole congregation joining in the hymns and service music.
WEDNESDAY EUCHARIST
  • 12:05pm: This informal Eucharist is Rite I on the first Wednesday of each month and Rite II the rest of the time. Lections are often those for Saints' days. There is a short interactive homily.

(Some of our clergy & staff: Ben, John, Shearon, Joel and George)

We would love to see you soon!
